First-time setup

Setting up on macOS

First open takes one quick approval — about 30 seconds, only once. SevenWins isn’t Apple-notarized yet, so macOS shows “Apple could not verify…” the first time. That’s expected during the beta, not a virus — just follow the steps below. A one-click version with no warnings (Apple-notarized) is on the way; once it lands, this step simply disappears.

Move it to Applications

Open the downloaded .dmg and drag SevenWins into your Applications folder.

Blocked on first open?

SevenWins isn’t Apple-notarized yet, so macOS blocks the first open with “Apple could not verify…” — expected during the beta, not a virus. Open SevenWins from your Applications folder (not straight from the .dmg — that never works), let it get blocked, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom, click Open Anyway, confirm with Touch ID or your password, and click Open. You only do this once. (On macOS 12–14 you can instead right-click the app → Open → Open; Apple removed that shortcut in macOS 15.)

Still blocked, or “SevenWins is damaged”?

Rare — but if macOS says the app is damaged, or nothing happens at all when you open it, the download kept a stale “from the internet” tag. Open Terminal, paste this one line, press Return, then open SevenWins again:xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/SevenWins.appIt only clears that tag on the app you just installed — nothing else on your Mac changes. This step disappears once we’re Apple-notarized.

Grant Screen Recording

On first launch SevenWins asks for Screen Recording permission — it needs this to draw the overlay over your game. Approve it in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording, then relaunch.

Setting up on Windows

First run takes one extra click — only once. SevenWins isn’t code-signed yet, so Windows shows a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen. That’s expected during the beta, not a virus — click More info, then Run anyway.

Run the installer

Open SevenWins-win.exe once it finishes downloading.

SmartScreen warning?

Windows may show “Windows protected your PC” because the app isn’t code-signed yet. Click More info → Run anyway. If the only button you can see is “Don’t run”, you haven’t clicked More info yet — Run anyway only appears after that. This is expected during the beta.

Allow screen access

On first launch, allow SevenWins to read the screen so it can show the overlay over MTG Arena.

SevenWins reads only your own MTG Arena logs — the same official Detailed Logs setting every major tracker uses. No injection, no automation, no hidden information.
